Terms of Service

Start With Me (“we,” “us,” the “Service”) is a live co-working platform: short video rounds, hosted events, and multi-day sprints that help people start things. By creating an account or using startwithme.app you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Start With Me. Rooms are live video with real people; we take that seriously.

2. Community rules

  • Visible presence is required in human rooms — face, task view, or blur. You choose the style; the presence is the point.
  • Recording, screenshotting, or sharing other participants’ video or personal information is prohibited.
  • No harassment, hate, sexual content, or spam. Rooms are for working, gently, together.
  • You can block or report anyone at any time. Reports are reviewed and violators lose access.

3. Rooms and video

Live video is transmitted through our infrastructure partner (Daily.co) and is not recorded or stored by us. Rounds run on timers you start; leaving a round frees your seat for someone else.

4. Creator listings and tickets

Any user may publish pods, events, and sprints, set a price (minimum $5, maximum $500), and sell tickets. By publishing you confirm you have the right to the content and images you upload.

  • Platform fee: 10% + $0.30 per paid ticket, which includes card processing. The remainder is paid to the creator.
  • Payouts are processed by Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe onboarding to receive funds; payouts typically land within about 2 business days of a sale.
  • Taxes on creator earnings are the creator’s responsibility.
  • We may remove listings that violate these terms and refund affected buyers.

5. Refund policy

Refunds for paid tickets are anchored to the room’s start time:

  • More than 48 hours before start: full refund minus the platform fee and payment-processing costs.
  • 24–48 hours before start: 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before start, day-of, or after: no refund.

Refunds are self-serve from the event or sprint page and return to your original payment method in 5–10 business days. If a creator cancels a listing, buyers receive a full refund.

6. Membership

AI rounds are free forever. Free accounts include limited human rounds each week. The optional membership ($9.99/month) unlocks unlimited human rounds and member perks, renews monthly, and can be canceled anytime from Settings → Membership & billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.

7. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers or bank details. Prices are shown in USD and include the fees described at checkout.

8. Your content

You own what you create (listings, images, task text). You grant us a license to display it within the Service. Don’t upload content you don’t have rights to.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” We are a focus and accountability tool, not a medical, mental-health, or professional service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

You can delete your account anytime by contacting us. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with refunds for unused paid tickets where required by law.

11. Changes

We’ll update these terms as the product evolves and note the date above. Material changes will be announced in-app.
